Behavioral Management of Chronic Cough - Disclosure

Course Description

This course provided attendees the opportunity to learn about conditions that might cause chronic cough and appropriate behavioral therapy options for treatment of chronic cough.

Elements of Competence

Interview of the combined staff at the UW-Madison speech language pathologists and identified a need for education in conditions that might impact treatment including non-behavioral and behavioral management of chronic cough.

Objectives

As a result of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Demonstrate behavioral therapy techniques for treatment of chronic cough.
2. Identify conditions that can cause a chronic cough and describe how these can change behavioral management for patients who have a multifactorial chronic cough.
3. Assess the impact that non-behavioral treatment modalities for chronic cough (e.g., medication, injections) might have on behavioral interventions.

Method of Participation

The estimated time to complete this online activity and exam is 1 hour(s). To receive credit, a passing grade of 100% is required on a short online quiz. You will have opportunities to retake the quiz to achieve a passing score. After you have completed your exam and evaluation you will be able to automatically print your credit letter.
