This course provided an update in scientific progress in anatomy and laryngeal biology of the larynx and what models and techniques help guide this new knowledge. This information guided clinicians to a broader understanding of wound healing and regenerative medicine.
1. Provide recent scientific progress in anatomy and molecular biology of the larynx.
2. Develop general appreciation for the models and techniques that are used to generate new knowledge in laryngeal biology.
3. Explain the clinical implications of recent work in wound healing and scar, mechano-sensation, developmental and stem cell biology, sub-populations of vocal fold cells and regenerative medicine.
