The Role of the SLP in Patients Receiving Radiation for Head and Neck Cancer - Disclosure

Course Description

: This course reviewed the implications of radiation therapy in head and neck cancer patients and how it impacts their swallowing function. Participants were provided evidence-based guidelines for clinicians in evaluating and treating patients undergoing radiation treatment.

Objectives

1. Participants will describe the decision making processes involved in treatment plan of care for various head and neck cancer diagnoses.
2. Participants will define effective swallowing evaluation modalities in patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer.
3. Participants will recognize effective treatment options for patients with dysphagia both during and after radiation therapy.

Method of Participation

The estimated time to complete this online activity and exam is 1 hour(s). To receive credit, a passing grade of 100% is required on a short online quiz. You will have opportunities to retake the quiz to achieve a passing score. After you have completed your exam and evaluation you will be able to automatically print your credit letter.
