Interview of the combined staff at the UW-Madison Voice and Swallowing Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin, and identified a need for continued education in the area of the importance of voice therapy in patients who are undergoing surgical intervention.
1. Participants will identify appropriate topics for peri-procedural patient education and goal-setting.
2. Participants will summarize the state of evidence regarding the purpose and duration of peri-procedural voice rest.
3. Participants will list examples of voice exercises appropriate for peri-procedural voice care and provide a physiologic rationale for their use.
